Brad Nieder, M.D.
For More Information Call: 877-234-6086

Some call him the Funny Doctor. Some call him the
Phunny Physician™. Still others call him Ethyl. To
most, though, he’s known as The Healthy Humorist™.
He’s Brad Nieder, M.D., a hilarious doctor and
speaker who entertains, inspires, and enlightens
audiences across the country with his unique blend
of healthcare comedy and wellness advice. Dr. Brad
delivers his presentation--"Laughter is the Best
Medicine"--at conferences, conventions, and
corporate events. He's perfect as a keynote
speaker, an after-dinner entertainer, or an
uplifting opener (or closer)! He speaks for health
care groups, professional associations, government
organizations... …basically anyone who could use a
dose of laughter!
How did Brad end up being Dr. Funny™? How does one
come to blend healthcare and humor as a
professional speaker? Just prior to going off to
college, Brad discovered improvisational comedy.
So while a freshman at Stanford University, he
became a founding member of the SIMPS improv
comedy troupe. During medical school at the
University of Colorado, Brad frequently performed
standup comedy throughout Denver for both live
audiences…and cadavers. He then took his unique
style to the East Coast when he went to the
Medical College of Virginia for his residency
training. He still traverses the country, but he
once again lives in Denver, a general practitioner
who some would say is a specialist in Healthy
Humor™!

“Laughter is the Best Medicine”
Well, okay, maybe penicillin is better. And aspirin
is good, too. Come to think of it, morphine’s got to
make the list. But laughter is still quite effective
at reducing stress, managing pain, and boosting the
immune system. In the workplace it can enhance
communication, aid creativity, and improve
productivity. And when Dr. Brad speaks, it’s
contagious!
Let the Healthy Humorist™ prescribe his creative,
inspiring message for your group. He’ll outline the
benefits of laughter, offer wellness advice, and
leave ‘em laughing!
Testimonials:
“You were
a HIT!!!!!!!! Here are just a few of the remarks on
the evaluations: 'Dr. Nieder was the most
entertaining speaker I have ever heard...Loved the
humor
doctor...wonderful...super...fantastic...fabulous...I
needed this!' I could go on and on. They loved you.
You ended the day on such a positive and uplifting
note. You touched the hearts of our members, and for
this I will be forever grateful.”
--Meryl M. Johnson, V.P. of Education,
Colorado Association of Healthcare Auxilians/Volunteers
“Hats off to the Healthy Humorist and his timely
message about incorporating more laughter into our
lives! From his opening line he had the audience of
2000 members laughing, and there was no lag time
during his entire 60-minute presentation. His
delivery and comic timing were impeccable. His
material is clever, clean, and insightful. He's a
Jerry Seinfeld of the medical profession with his
hilarious observations. As one coder said to me
later, 'Our jobs are so stressful. It felt good to
sit there and laugh!' If it were up to me, Dr.
Nieder would be my choice for a keynote every year.
We can all stand to lighten up and enjoy ourselves a
little more, and that message came through loud and
clear in the presentation." --Melanie
Mestas, Speaker Coordinator, American Academy of
Professional Coders
“A doctor-approved laugh session.” --"5280,"
Denver's Mile-High Magazine, "Top Doctors" Issue
“You received rave reviews and a score of 4.9 out of
5 on the evaluations--not an easy accomplishment
among a group of over 100 head nurses. The
participants felt you made great connections with
the home care field. Everyone thought your humor
mixed with the reality of day-to-day medicine was
the best way to end a symposium--reminding us how to
laugh with all the challenges that we face daily.
Many of those surveyed commented they would like to
have you return. Thank you for helping us see the
joy and laughter in what we do each day, and for
sharing the brilliance of the Dr. Seuss version of
wellness--it was great and very popular with the
nurses. They left laughing and educated. What else
could we ask for?!” --Barbara McCann,
Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer, Interim
Healthcare, Inc.
"Brad has a remarkable talent in math!"
--Mrs. Noia, Brad's 6th grade pre-algebra teacher
